Black Gospel Music
Mix the rhythm and beat of urban contemporary music with the themes of praise and worship of the pentecostal church to get the feel of Black gospel music. Since the 1920s, Black musicians have been using the beats inspired by tribal songs and Negro spirituals to spread the word of God to the all in community.
Black gospel music has a broad range from choirs belting out hymns on a Sunday morning to churchgoers in the pews, to hip-hop groups of rhyming words of blessing in the loudest nightclubs while dancers get their groove on. No matter the target audience, each style seeks to entertain and deliver a positive and upbeat message.
