Black Voters
While historically, Black voters typically have a relatively low turnout, recent times, notably in the 2008 presidential election, have seen a sharp jump in the percentage of African Americans who chose to take an active stance as part of their political process.
With more and more young Black people becoming educated about the way policies are shaped and reforms are achieved in the United States of America, politicians at every level have recognized the importance Black voters when making and enacting their campaign plans.
More than just a demographic, these active Black voters comprise a crucial part of the electorate.
